Original Recipe:
I found the original recipe for French Breakfast Muffins at AllRecipes.com.
Our Changes:
- Instead of all purpose flour, I used whole wheat flour.
- I don't love the taste of nutmeg so I used cinnamon.
- I didn't add any salt.
- I cut down on the amount of sugar by almost half
Although making the changes that I did to this recipe made the muffins not turn out as light and fluffy, they were still yummy!

ReplyDeleteI love cinnamon more than nutmeg too. Maybe a blend of the two would be good!
ReplyDeleteI think these French Breakfast Muffins would be excellent to make as a Snack as well as for breakfast. I like the fact that the sugar was cut in half. Thank you for this recipe.
