Sugar Bowl Cinnamon Buns

The Sugar Bowl is a restaurant in Edmonton Alberta, they have been featured in newspapers, radio and tv shows for their very famous cinnamon buns. CBC.ca posted their recipe online and I decided to give it a go.

Our Changes:




I followed the directions as exactly as I could.  We did make a quick vanilla icing to try with it, I think no sauce is necessary though or a cream cheese one would be best.

Family Thoughts:




Amazing!!  The brown sugar and being coated on the outside really make these buns something new and really delicious.  The dough has that pully texture you expect from a cinnamon bun, they are perfect for sharing and even tasted great the next day heated up in the microwave.

    1. Yes, I used 1 cup of cinnamon! It makes a lot of rolls and this recipe has you coating the dough with cinnamon and brown sugar on the outside of the bun so you use more.
