Oven Fried Chicken {Baked--the healthier version!}

Here is the original recipe for this KFC Baked Fried Chicken. My neighbour introduced this recipe to me and I can't wait to test it out! She is the second person who swears by this delicious chicken recipe!

Recipe: Baked Fried Chicken

Tastes almost as good as the real thing, but much healthier!


Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken soaked in milk for a minimum half hour (if the breast is large, you can cut it in half)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Tbsp seasoning salt (we like to use Lawry's, but any brand can be used)
  • 1 tsp of paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a sealable bag.
  2. Melt a tablespoon of butter in a glass dish (enough to generously coat the bottom).
  3. Shake chicken in the mix.
  4. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes, flip and bake for another 20 minutes.

Sounds easy enough, right?! It is and it tastes delicious!

  4. sound yummy to me and a lot healthier too. I don't like KFC's chicken, too greasy for me but this sounds delicious. Why soak the chicken in the milk? Does tht make it juicier?
