Roasted Radishes

My family has joined a farm share this year, if you haven't heard of a farm share or CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) before here's how it works. CSA members pay at the start of the growing season for a share of the anticipated harvest and once harvesting begins, they receive weekly shares of vegetables and fruit. Our CSA program also includes cut flowers, eggs and bread as part of their weekly pickup arrangement. So stay tuned for many recipes as we discover new and old favourites with veggies. Since the start of this season we have been enjoying lettuce, rhubarb, spinach, bok choy, kale, asparagus, summer turnip, chives, dill, mint, green onions and radishes. Roasted Radishes

  • 1-2 bunches of radishes, trimmed and I cut mine in half or quarters, can also be left whole
  • 2T extra virgin olive oil
  • 1t thyme
  • 1/2t garlic powder or fresh
  • Fresh ground pepper and a sprinkle of salt
Step 1 

Toss radishes in a bowl with the oil, thyme, garlic and salt and pepper

Step 2
Roast on a baking sheet at 425 for approx 20 minutes, giving the pan a good shake every 5-8 minutes.

Step 3
Serve hot, for a fresh taste squeeze fresh lemon juice on top.

Add 1T honey to your mix!

Family Thoughts 


Everyone really enjoyed these, it really takes the bite out of the radish and tastes delicious! Great way to use an abundance of radishes too.

  2. This sounds good, I love radishes but have never had them cooked before. i must try this.
